A while ago I went to a Planet-K, a popular live house in western Tokyo to check out some Jindies bands. One of the groups performing that night was a super-hot, high-energy, and very professional, all girl group named Zukunashi.
And damn, did they ever blow my mind with their very Jazzy, but hard-driving, R&B, Blues-Rock style, and heart-rending ballads. And Emi, the lead singer, can really belt out the tunes, Janis Joplin style.
Zukunasi, made up of four members, is so versatile that it's really hard to classify them. All can say is that they are definitely the hottest all-girl band I've ever seen. And I've seen them again and again. And you can see them too, just check out their promotion video below.
