My real name is Theron Daniel Huffman,
(Only my mom calls me Theron, and that's when she's mad at me. And she's long gone - Bless her heart!)
I'm from Johnstown, PA. I 1st came to Japan in March of 1970 for a three and a half year tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force. I returned to Japan in November of 1976 and I've been here ever since.
I'm a lover of Motown, Soul, R&B, Smooth Jazz, and Reggae. I generally don't care for loud hard rock bands that consist of only blaring guitars. And I don't like hard core ghetto rap/hip-hop either.
I like to exercise every day, and when I get the chance, I like to ride my recumbent. And especially I like to introduce to the world my favorite Jindies music on my WHIT podcast. But most of all, I love my wonderful wife, Michie!
People are usually surprised when they find out how old I am. But long-time residents of Japan say "Japan keeps you young". I don't know if this is generally true, but it is in my case. I don't have the time or desire to be around tired, serious, and boring old people. Therefore, most of the people I associate with are twenty to thirty years younger.
I am also the owner and operator of this site - Jindies.com and it's sister site, What's Happening In Tokyo podcast (WHIT).
Also Hirotsugu Mochida of "Mochida Band", and "Suiren" is my partner in operating Jindies.com
